Investors in People (IIP) is a standard for people management, recognised as a mark of excellence for organisations committed to creating exceptional workplaces. With over 10,000 organisations in the UK proudly displaying the IIP accreditation, the project involved a comprehensive brand refresh to enhance the visual identity of this esteemed standard. The goal was to align the brand’s imagery with its evolving mission while maintaining its reputation as a symbol of great employers and sustainable, high-performing workplaces.
The brand refresh entailed redesigning and creating a robust set of brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all regions and media within the UK. This included developing a clear structure for the brand mark, typography, colour theory, and photographic style. A key aspect of the project was addressing regional specifications to ensure the brand resonated with diverse UK audiences, while maintaining its core identity. Additionally, I created a full suite of marketing and advertising collateral, ensuring the refreshed brand was effectively communicated across all touchpoints.
The resulting brand guidelines serve as a comprehensive tool for organisations across the UK, providing clear direction on how to use the brand assets and maintain a consistent, professional image. The new guidelines not only reinforced the credibility of the Investors in People standard but also enhanced its ability to inspire organisations to invest in their people and drive positive change within their workplaces.
