City & Guilds

City & Guilds is a leading skills development organisation, supporting training providers and employers across diverse sectors to meet the demands of modern workplaces. Recognised globally, their qualifications empower individuals to enhance their skills, advance their careers, and meet industry needs. With over 600 courses and 2,000 qualifications offered in 80 countries, City & Guilds holds a reputation for excellence in education and training.

The project involved implementing a comprehensive global brand refresh across all existing marketing and brand collateral. This included integrating the updated assets into a sophisticated web-to-print application. Leveraging SVG technology, I designed dynamic templates that enabled employees—regardless of design expertise—to create bespoke, editable marketing materials, course information, and brand collateral that strictly adhered to City & Guilds’ brand guidelines.

The application featured 25 unique collateral templates in two design styles, with six layout options for each course. This resulted in an impressive 3,000 customisable design variations per course, providing employees with a powerful, scalable tool to produce professional collateral efficiently. The project ensured consistent, high-quality branding across all materials, reinforcing City & Guilds’ reputation as a global leader in skills development.
